Standup Studio · Beta test · Free
Tape study without the rewinding. Upload the recordings of your sets; get back which jokes hit, how hard, where the room went quiet, and Instagram clips and carousels of your best stuff.
01
How it works
STEP 1
Sign up below
A few quick questions. The beta is small; if you're in, I'll send you your private upload link.
STEP 2
Drop in your tapes
You get a private upload link (no account needed). Add two or more recordings of your sets, phone videos are fine, and your joke notes if you keep any.
STEP 3
Get your page
Within two days you get your own Notion page: every set rated, every joke scored and ranked, plus clips and carousels of your best jokes. Upload more tapes any time and it updates.
02
What you get
01
A 1 to 10 rating for every set
Laughs per minute, how much of the set the room spends laughing, how fast the first laugh comes, how strong the close is. Plus a score adjusted for a hot or cold room, and one for how the set works as a booking tape.
02
Your jokes, ranked
Every joke scored on its best three nights, never just one. Which ones are keepers, which need work, and which are trending up or down.
03
Where you lost the room
Every long stretch without a laugh, and exactly what you were saying, so you know where to cut.
04
Ums, uhs and stutters
Counted joke by joke from a word-for-word transcript. The jokes with the most are usually the ones you haven't fully memorized yet.
05
Your best jokes, as clips and carousels
It finds the night each joke went best and turns it into Instagram content: a vertical clip that follows you on stage, keeps the club's sign in shot and lifts the laughs to match your voice, and a photo carousel that tells the joke in panels with the punchline on your reaction face. Captions keep risky words from getting your post limited.
06
No joke list needed
Send a Word doc, your notes app, a spreadsheet or photos of your notebook. Or nothing: with two or more tapes it finds your jokes on its own.
07
Has it been done?
Every bit is checked against jokes already out there (Reddit, joke sites, social posts), and the facts in it get a sanity check. If something's close, you get the link and an idea for making it yours.
03
How good is it
Honest grades. It's a beta: some parts are solid, some are a first draft, and your feedback is how they get better.

What it can't do: tell you why a joke works, judge a room it can't hear (a phone in the back row means fewer laughs found, not a worse set), or replace watching your own tape. It tells you which 30 seconds to watch.
04
What you need
Recordings
Two or more sets where you can hear the room. Phone videos and club cameras both work.
Your jokes
Optional. However you keep them, or not at all.
Nothing to install
A free Notion account to open your page. That's it. Free for the whole beta test.
Your material stays private: only you can see your page and your uploads, and it all gets deleted whenever you ask. To check originality, short lines from your jokes are searched on the web. Nothing is ever posted or shared.
05
Join the beta test
A small group of comics, free, for about four weeks. In return: tell me what's useful and what's wrong.
